VibeCode Score
The VibeCode score is VibeFix's proprietary metric measuring the AI signature density of a web application's codebase on a 0–100% scale. A score of 0% indicates statistically pure human-authored code; 100% indicates patterns entirely consistent with AI model output.
TL;DR
The VibeCode score is calculated by the 24-point Neural DNA analysis engine. It is a forensic measurement of pattern distributions, not a quality rating. Every VibeFix scan produces one — with a full breakdown and prioritized fix roadmap.
The Four Classification Tiers
Low AI signature density. Architecture reflects genuine human intentionality in structure, naming, and error strategy.
AI-assisted with human architectural oversight. Most structural decisions are intentional; some AI patterns present.
Significant AI pattern density. Quality review and forensic remediation recommended before scaling.
Predominantly AI-generated. High Synthetic debt risk. Forensic remediation required before production scaling.
Important: Score ≠ Quality Rating
The VibeCode score is a forensic measurement, not a quality grade. A score of 80% does not necessarily mean the code is broken — it means the structural, stylistic, and semantic patterns of the code align at 80% with statistically measured AI generation profiles.
The quality implications are addressed separately through VibeFix's forensic fix roadmap, which prioritizes issues by their actual business and maintenance impact rather than their AI signature alone.
How the Score is Calculated
The VibeCode score is a weighted composite of 24 Neural DNA checks across five categories. Each check produces a score from 0–100, weighted by its forensic significance.
| Category | Weight | What It Checks |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | Highest | Semantic HTML density, class name entropy, nesting depth, ID/class ratio, component cloning |
| CSS | High | Utility class density, design token chaos, animation overload, breakpoint randomness, specificity wars |
| JavaScript | Medium | Framework signature, bundle complexity, error handling, comment authenticity |
| Content | Low-Medium | Copy specificity, writing voice, image asset forensics |
| Meta | Low | Meta tag quality, temporal build markers, A11y tokenism, template fingerprinting |
